Food and Drug Control Approvals:

The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Quality Assurance activities at Trends Pharma factory at Rajpipla are approved and licensed by the Food and Drug Control Administration, Gujarat State.

The Factory is also certified by the F & D authority for complying with Schedule ‘M’, GMP and WHO-GMP requirements for Tablets, Capsules, Liquids, Ointments and Veterinary Products. The Company has also acquired an ISO 9001:2000 certification.

 

Quality Assurance (Q.A):- 
The latest Quality Concept is followed at every step of processing. The involvement of Quality Assurance (Q.A.) department starts right from the selection of vendors of all inputs and extends up to the delivery of finished products. The Q.A and Production team are jointly responsible for drawing ‘Standard Operating Procedures’, standardization and validation of all stability studies.

Microbiological tests for monitoring the ‘Environment’ are carried out as a routine. During the year 1996, the factory was awarded, ” Certificate of Merit of Quality Excellence by Indian Drug Manufacturer’s Association”.

Sophisticated instruments such as U.V. and Infra-red Spectrometers and Thin Layer Chromatography are used to check quality and purity of materials before use. Dissolution Tests are carried out on tablets and capsules to check bioavailability. Each stage of the manufacturing process is carried further only after approval of the Quality Assurance Department.

Administration:-
Trends Pharma Pvt .Ltd. has its central Administrative Head Quarters based in Mumbai where Accounts and Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Personnel and other Administrative staff are housed. The Financial Accounts, Inventory Control, Costing, Sales and other MIS data are maintained on specially Designed customized online software’s duly connected for quick Communication and prompt decision making.

Monthly Meetings, Brain Storming Sessions for the Product Management Team, Quality Circles are conducted to assess performance of production, sales against targets and to Focus on excellence.

Human Resources Development;- 
The core essence at Trends Pharma Pvt Ltd. is its People, for it’s the People that make an Organization and therefore our philosophy and emphasis is in developing people. Constant interactions, meetings, exposures, seminars involving specialist to provide the best technical back-up are arranged to make a progressive team in a fast changing world.

For Sales team, routine training programs are conducted for new products regarding its efficacy, pharmacology, interaction with other drugs, safety, toxicity and several other aspects by renowned Medical Doctors. Special Product information literatures are prepared for Medical Practioneers. The H.R. scouts the best talent through a fair screening process, also conducts a 360 degrees performance appraisal. Overall the Department is governed to look at the sourcing the Right Person for the Right Job at the Right Time.

Food Section:- 
The Food Section started in 1992 for Trends Pharma Pvt. Ltd is approved under the Food and Drug Administration and now has its own PFA certified License. Various Artificial Sweetner based food products – like aspartum, sucralose, stevia, etc. are being manufactured in the approved area.

Feed and Veterinary Section:
A dedicated premise having an approved area of about 5000 sq. ft.is dedicated for manufacturing of veterinary and feed supplements. Manufacturing includes tablets- Bolus, Liquids, Powders, Suspensions, etc.  Stores for Raw Materials and Packing Materials for this section are separate, in order to prevent mixing with the Human RM/PM formulation stores.

Finished Products are also stored separately and special Delivery bays for inward and outward movement of material is provided. For Vitamins and Thermo Viable Materials we have an air-conditioned storage facility where materials are stored below 20’c for 24 hours.
